Kathy J. Stucka
While in law school, Kathy interned at the U.S. Employment Opportunity Commission, where she drafted decisions on federal employment cases with an Administrative Judge. Kathy also interned for the Law Office of Katherine E. Smith prior to her full time employment where she focused on drafting notice of claims, complaints, discovery, motions, and digested complex medical records. Kathy previously worked for a private practice focusing on family law for several years, where she worked closely with clients to draft separation agreements and family court applications.
Prior to working in the legal field Kathy worked as a tutor through America Reads and volunteered as a mentor through Girls Inc. in Downtown Brooklyn. She also interned for the Czech Center New York, where she assisted staff with translation and creation and presentation of cultural and political programs.
Kathy is fluent in Slovak, proficient in Czech, and has elementary proficiency in Russian.
